Jody:

There is always hope........remember that!

This is a very good support group and there are many parents in this
support
group who know exactly what you are feeling and what you will all go
through over the next few months until things become more
stable. And, trust me, they will eventually stabilize.

One important thing to establish right off.......remember this...
"your son has CML.........the CML does not have your son"!
Take control of the situation and don't let the situation control
you! Get on line and read everything you can find on CML......make
sure your son has the best Hem./Onc. you can find. Make
certain he feels comfortable with the doctor, the lab &
where he goes. All of this is important and above all
else.....ask questions and get answers!

There is a lady in our support group....Annie.....who's son, Stephen
is around the same age as your son and he, too, has CML. She
can give you wonderful advice and help.......she is presently
making her way through Mexico with her husband on a
vacation trip. But, when she gets back, I am sure she will
want to talk to you.

Hang in there, all will be well,

Suzie Q
