I was diagnosed Oct 2006, have been on Gleevec 600mg since. I reached CCR about 6 mos ago and have the typical minor, mainly irritating side effects as most of you. However, prior to my diagnosis and before the use of Gleevec I was attending college pursuing my degree and recall that I was able to take in info, process it and recall the info and work problems as needed. I have very recently gone back to school (since getting myself and my family adjusted to our new life) and have realized that I have GREAT difficulty concentrating on book work and processing and recalling the necessary info required. Is any one else having this experience too? Is this another unfortunate side effect of the Gleevec that makes those mountains before us bigger and steeper to climb. I relayed to my husband that I feel like I am looking at Chinese and the lights are flashing, noise is loud and then the lights go out and when they come back on I can't even find the problem on the page, and when I do it all starts over again. Kinda sounds like ADD, eh? If any one can offer any insight I would really appreciate it.
