Greenie, Afterbite actually has amonia in it for that purpose. It works. The Avon product Skin so Soft.. is a repellent...or bug sprays like OFF...they will all work pretty well if your skin can tolerate them....word to the wise...never sit on the beach itself with bare skin exposed unless you are on towel, and have used spray...as for Fort Myers proper..I don't know much about the area because I stay on Sanibel..so if you want to know about any of the sites there or Captiva...I am happy to share..Hope you settle in well..I am sure there are CML folks living in the area or snow birding...I beth people will respond!!!
