My moms remedy for most every thing was castor oil. Anybody have their mom give them that? I wonder if I could take a big dose and cure my CML We also got a dose of Cod Liver Oil once or twice a year. Jeanie<3 In a message dated 11/6/2010 8:24:09 A.M. When I was a child, whenever I got a sunburn my mother would slather on a loose paste made of baking soda and cool water. That took the sting right out. It's a good thing to go back in our memories and conjure up the home remedies that worked for painful or nasty little problems. I was glad to be reminded that ammonia is good for insect bites and stings. It is the only thing I have found that works. No prescription meds work. Out of the blue I decided to try. Works wonders and I apply either with my hand, paper towel or rag. Usually stings for a few but I get long term relief sometimes up to 24 hours. I remembered as a young kid that they used it for sun burns. > > Suzan > > > --- On Tue, 11/2/10, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > > > From: [email protected] <[email protected]> > > Subject: Re: [CMLHope] Re: Still on Gleevec Vacation > > To: [email protected] > > Date: Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 12:33 PM > > > Greenie, > > I'm a big fan of Benadryl gel (lotion) for anything like bites or stings. > > Patrick > > > From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > > To: [email protected] > > Sent: Tue, November 2, 2010 5:46:15 AM > > Subject: Re: [CMLHope] Re: Still on Gleevec Vacation > > > Hi Beth, thanks for the info. Is their anyone with CML that's lives a around the area. Would like to get together for lunch to talk and find out where all of the interesting places to go. greenie > > > > > In a message dated 11/1/2010 11:06:28 P.M.
