My moms remedy for most every thing was castor oil. Anybody have their
mom give them that? I wonder if I could take a big dose and cure my CML We
also got a dose of Cod Liver Oil once or twice a year.

When I was a child, whenever I got a sunburn my mother would slather
on a loose paste made of baking soda and cool water. That took the
sting right out. It's a good thing to go back in our memories and
conjure up the home remedies that worked for painful or nasty little
problems. I was glad to be reminded that ammonia is good for insect
bites and stings.

works. No prescription meds work. Out of the blue I decided to try. Works
wonders and I apply either with my hand, paper towel or rag. Usually stings
for a few but I get long term relief sometimes up to 24 hours. I
remembered as a young kid that they used it for sun burns.

you can put on your body to keep them from biting you? My Mother always put
bleach on things that bite. I will go to the store and get some today. Is
their anyone with CML that's lives a around the area. Would like to get
together for lunch to talk and find out where all of the interesting places
to go. greenie
