Dear Nadia: When I was first dx'ed back in Jan. '04, after having problems with my first onc./hem., my husband was able through his office manager who had successfully fought a form of acute Leukemia back in '95, was able to get me into Sitemen Cancer Center at Washington University Hosp./ Barnes Jewish in St. Louis to see her Onc./Hem. His name was Dr. Hannah Khoury. I absolutely loved him from the beginning. He helped to set me and my husband at ease right off. I saw him for about six months when he told me that he was leaving to go to Emory University Hosp. to help set up a Hematology Ctr. like Sitemen......I asked him if I could travel down to keep seeing him. He laughed and said "Sure, if you want to drive that far"....LO!! Well, he left and I am now on my 4th dr. since he left, but the lady I'm seeing now interned under him, so I feel "blessed". I'm wondering if he is the same as this Jean Khoury you mentioned, or if they are related? The name and hospital jumped out at me, so I was just wondering. I sure miss him. My husband and my son both, were very impressed with him and his treatment of his patients.
