Susan,I take (4) 150 mg a day. As far as I know the only dosages are 150 mg and
200 mg, no 125. But yes, one 150 mg a day would be a very low dose. Here's a
pretty complete rundown on side effects and reactions from the Tasigna site
http://www.us.tasigna.com/patient/patient-prescribing-information.jsp I haven't
had any side effects on Tasigna as opposed to a litany of nasties on Gleevec.
(Maybe some of the minor ones like muscle pain but nothing I can pin on
Tasigna.)  Everyone as they say is different. Fasting for 3 hours twice a day
to take it is a PITA.It took me 9 months to achieve complete hematologic
response on Gleevec. On Tasigna it was something less than the 2 weeks before
my first blood work.  I had complete cytogenetic response in a couple of
months. Major molecular response @ 8 months and Zeros on my brc-abl at 12
months. Since then more zeros and zeros on the chromosome analysis they decided
to add.
Brain bleeds are listed as a possibility so I'll be sending 324's your way
(that's 18 squared. No, Marty you don't have to explain the linguistics to me -
it's a joke!)And SuzieQ, you ARE a warrior. Don't be a hero when it comes to
pain.Patrick

So Happy for you, SuzieQ!  Not happy about the sciatica, etc., so hope you can
conquer that soon.

I am beginning tasigna on Wednesday at the lowest dose.  I've been off all meds
for 6 yrs and 3 mos., and can hardly move with like sludge in my veins.
Absolutely no energy.  The numbers were 17.7 for the recent fish test, so
decided it was time.  Please pray I tolerate this drug and have no more brain
bleeds from the medication as I did with gleevec.

My doc tells me 125 mg. once a day is the lowest dose.  Can anyone verify this
for me?  I'm very concerned, as he had never heard of bosutinib two months ago,
but now did not recommend it for me.

Subject: [CMLHope] BCR-ABL Results

Hello everyone:

I don't know if I posted my results or not,  but they came back "none detected"
once again........it's been this way straight through since the beginning of
2010......YIPPEE!!!   My doctor is letting me cut the Gleevec back to 100mgs a
day and we will see how that does.   I will celebrate my tenth anniversary of
my diagnosis next February 6th (according to my mom as that's her birthday and
she always reminds me that I called her and told her on her birthday about the
diagnosis.)

I see the new Pain Management Specialist this coming Friday.  I do hope he is
able to help me.   I have had two awful bad nights in a row now.  Was doing
much better up till then.  Been seeing my Chiropractor regular and he's been
helping me quite a bit with my Sciatic leg pain and hip pain.  But, then the
arthritis in the SI joints decided to act up and there isn't a whole lot he can
do for that.  I've been hitting my bottle of pain meds pretty regular for past
two days.  I am beginning to think my husband may be right about me being in a
wheel chair soon.  But, I will do all I can to fight that and keep going.  I
don't mind walking with my cane if I need to,  but don't want to give into the
wheel chair before I turn 60 years old.

Alright,  gotta get going now.  Y'all have a great day and enjoy the summer.....

Suzieq
