I couldn't really tell you what the charge is for the test I have done every 6 months....I've never seen where they were billed by my insurance, that I know of. Will check the latest to see when it comes in. My tests are overnighted to Genzyme that is either in Mass. or Maine, can't remember other than it's back east. Will look on the test papers later to check for sure. I do know a few years ago, I received a bill from them and it was for right around $900 as my insurance hadn't paid. Needless to say, I talked with my insurance and they said that someone at the lab didn't file in a timely manner and that is why they refused to pay it and it was not for me to be concerned with, that they would deal with Genzyme. I never heard another word. LOL!!! That was over 5 or 6 years ago, so I'm sure the test costs more today. The charge you are quoting do seem a bit high, but I don't have anything to go by. Maybe someone else here in the support group can answer your questions better than me.....
