When I was first diagnosed, I was put on Gleevec and I broke out in a severe rash, as well as many other uncomfortable side effects. I was then put on Sprycel and while it has some of the same side effects, it is manageable and tolerable. I have lived with it for 7 years. Now there are other options. Find one that works for you and have a good life!
