EZ Publish lacks the code base for expansion and customization that comes
with php-nuke or one of the nuke clones like post-nuke. That said, it is a
convenient way to get a site up and running and the price is right. I would
personally recommentd using nuke or post nuke if you have any coding
abilities at all.

All the Best,

Subject: [cms-list] a real begginer dilemma

well after a month of studing an open source CMS
my comapny has got into a decision that we cant afford ourself the risk of
using an open sourced product of a young 3 years company.
so they sent me back to the web to seek for an out-of-the box product a
low-priced product (when we are talking about CMS) .
and i descoverd that not that i didn't found lots of products in our
budget(5-8k US) but all those midle-range products even didn't gave us the
funtionality that open source product gave.

by the way i'm talking about EZ Publish.

the EZ is more then a CMS product is more like a Portal product with lots of
builtin eCommerce functions(bulkmail,eShop,forums,etc...)

this point is where i would like to hear your expirienced opinion.
1. Is our worries has any basis?
2. Is there any chance i will find a out-of-box product with this budget
that will give me the same functions?

10x in advance
