I am not sure that I understand the issue you (your company) have with Open Source. Is it just that the source is open? Or that there isn't a company that produced that product? Is it that you can't purchase a support contract or purchase services (i.e. consultants) from that company that created the product? Have you looked to see there are companies that sell support contracts for the specific piece of open source you want to use? To my experience companies have problems with products for two reasons: 1. What happens if something goes wrong? 2. What happens if the software producers goes out of business. Open Source just doesn't have problem #2. And if there is a company that will sell support contracts then problem #1 can be addressed. Anyway, the chance that you will find a product in your stated price range that is as good as the top end open source products is not very high. I believe that you are going to have a tough time finding a product in your price range that is the true CMS product that is much older than 3 years (the company may be older, but I don't know why a three year old company is an issue for you).
