Hi Rob, An excellent plan. The current CMS pipelines haven't been updated for the development we've seen in VM itself. Some features introduced in the 64 bit zVM cannot be handled by the CMS pipelines. For instance 64 bit numbers in specs. And obviously features in the up-level version would be nice to have in the CMS version as well. At least it then would be fully supported by IBM as well.
We have the two versions separately from each other. The IBM products use the CMS version and our own processes use the up-level version. This is done to avoid problems with the supported products. Should they run into errors we will not get an argument on the PIPE version that is being used.
