Hi, Rob. This is great news. Where possible, I always use the up-level version of Pipelines so as to be able to exploit all of the new stuff John has added over the years (e.g., structures, fbaread/fbawrite). Unfortunately, some client sites will not let "3rd-party" software downloaded from the Internet be installed on their z/VM systems, and in those cases we are struck using what comes native with z/VM.
This will also make it easier to use some IBM tools like PIPDDR, as it has a pre-req of the modern level of plumbing.... While you're at it, roll in the PIPSYSF package as well.
