Perhaps I should chime in. Almost a year ago Romney White contacted me about the user requirement for upgrading the "lead pipes" twenty-five years after the original priority 5 requirement to have "indoor pipes". Apparently this latter one was put as forcefully to IBM as the first one was.
My response was that IBM is more that welcome to my work over the last five years as a free agent; and while I decline any further working relationships with IBM, it might be smart for IBM to hire Rob to do the job; in which case I should be happy to consult without charge. I am glad that IBM finally did see the light and hired Rob. And I am sure Rob will do splendidly. He has all my support. Clearly there will be an interregnum. Rob and I will have no problems dealing with that. Once pipes are back in VM in full strength, I shall bow out. On 06/29/2015 02:30 PM, Rob Van der Heij wrote:
IBM is investigating ways to bring the latest version of CMS Pipelines into the z/VM product. Various approaches are being considered to balance the resources available with customer value. If you have any thoughts or ideas about this, we would be most interested to learn about those. You can also contact me directly if you want to discuss your ideas or concerns off-line.
