I really like Plone, and yes, Zope does take a while to get used to - highly configurable as a Content Management Framework. Plone is the only opensource CMS that I've seen that has valid XHTML and CSS, doesn't use tables for layout, and most importantly, is AA WCAG rated (phpwebsite is A rated).

The only problem is finding a host. You can run Zope and Apache together but it's a bit tricky.

If you want to have a go at Plone on Zope, register a free acount here: http://www.objectis.org/english

Otherwise just download it - you can download a package with Zope and Plone together from the www.plone.org website.

Hi

I have never tried any CMS except for Movable Type. I came across http://plone.org and was wondering if it will be a good program to use for updating of projects and for my personal portfolio. For clients with huge product gallery, a CMS will help them a lot but I have never implemented one.

What are your recommendations and views on Plone? Will it have issues with W3C xhtml validations?

Best Wishes,
Jaime .......
