I love Textpattern too, many times I hold back to use TXP when a
client's need is basic and small, is that the project seems dying
(which I really hate to see).
Right now blogging feature in Modx is still weak (mainly the comment
management) therefor it's not recommended for a blog site, so, I still
go with TXP, but this likely will be changed once the v0.97 comes out
(alpha version at the moment).
