Based on my miss-adventures involving 70's and early 80's C&Cs I would expect 
similar results.  Our 43 has several inch thick solid glass at the stem and 
would do fine (cosmetic damage) with the collisions shown.  The thick solid 
glass runs full length making survivability likely in the case of running up 
onto debris.

I was once crew on a C&C 39 that hit Entrance Island BC during a Southern 
Straits of Georgia race.  We hit had enough that crew on deck were knocked 
flat.  The only damage found was a golf ball size chunk of lead missing or 
displaced on the keel.
