The bolts that go through each sheave, extend through the cabin top and had a washer and an aircraft nut inside the cabin ceiling. Only the outer layer of fiberglass carried the entire load. I enlarged the holes, cut back the balsa core, filled the holes w West System epoxy and redrilled to 5/16. I replaced w longer bolts, caulked, and inside the cabin, I added a1/4" thick aluminum backing plate, washers, and aircraft nuts. Now the strain is carried to the whole cabin top. I think I used winch grease. One of the center sheaves is frozen. I hit it with PB Blaster and loosened the screw. I was able to slide a putty knife under it top and bottom but it is still frozen. Can I just remove the screw completely and give it a whack to dislodge it so I can clean it up?
