On my 35-3 the deck organizers are schaeffer. Like this
one:http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|118|103371|297596&id=114517
To get these off you take out the 3x mounting bolts, the bottoms are
accessible through the openings in the cabin roof where the lights are.
The sheave is welded to the bottom plate.

According to our build file, C&C fabricated the assembly. The bolts
that go through each sheave, extend through the cabin top and had a
washer and an aircraft nut inside the cabin ceiling. Only the outer
layer of fiberglass carried the entire load. I enlarged the holes,
cut back the balsa core, filled the holes w West System epoxy and
redrilled to 5/16. I replaced w longer bolts, caulked, and inside
the cabin, I added a1/4" thick aluminum backing plate, washers, and
aircraft nuts. Now the strain is carried to the whole cabin top.

I had the same problem 10 years ago. Took the whole thing apart,
plates, washers, sheaves, bushings; cleaned w diesel oil, dried
and lubed and reassembled. Still working well without any
further attention. I forget what I used for lube. I think I
used winch grease.

My boat has 3 sheave deck organizers. One of the center sheaves is
frozen. I hit it with PB Blaster and loosened the screw. I was able
to slide a putty knife under it top and bottom but it is still
frozen.
Can I just remove the screw completely and give it a whack to
dislodge it so I can clean it up?
