Actually and seriously, this is good stuff. In four years, it has not
deformed -- even along the hinge edge, which rarely gets a chance to
relax and re-expand. I just ordered some for the other hatch, which
only leaks when the entire boat is under water. What the heck.
I wrote:
I used 'Weather Resistant EDPM tube' -- McMaster-Carr part number
4339T6 </#4339T6>. It has held up extremely well, as the foredeck
hatch is open all the time, except when underway, and is constantly
exposed to UV and weather.
