Just one of those days when the wind was perfect; boat seemed to get in the
groove and stay there; crew were working as a team and the sun was out.

We got into Port Angelese and were boarded by the American Coast Guard - only
time ever.

They kept us in the cockpit while 2 of them searched the boat. After searching,
one says:

“Any firearms on board?”

“No” says us “We’re Canadians, we don’t do guns”.

“Well we’re Americans” says one of the Coast Guards “Do you want some?”

Pregnant pause - then a big laugh!

I’ve noticed, when we go into the US, the US Coast Guard is a lot more polite
than our Canadian lot. But US sailors say the opposite.
