I never use additives. I have an Algae-X. http://www.diesel-fuels.com/algae-x/magnetic-fuel-conditioning.php
Some claim they're a hoax but so far I have over 1200 hours and no issues. I also have a vacuum gauge on my Racor 500MA primary fuel filter. I don't change elements until the gauge tells me. I guess I could go back and find the number of hours between filter element changes but I know I don't change them that often. Algae-X sells a couple of additives to enhance combustion, clean the tank, etc. but I've never used them. Dennis C.
