Subject: Stus-List Window replacement

Hi Munden:

Where do you sail from? I am guessing it is the Armdale Yacht Club.

I replaced all my cabin windows about 8 years ago......had to....they all were
leaking and there was no way to keep the water out other than replace the
windows....I tried everything else and it always eventually failed. At the
time, I didn't know about the 3M tape so I used an adhesive called Sikaflex UV
295 and the Sika primer.....it was very effective but more labor intensive than
the tape would be.

I sail out of the RNSYS.....if you need any input on this job, don't hesitate to
contact me.....glad to pass on my experience(s) doing this boat job.

Regards

Hi all,
Just want to say thanks to all for the helpful comments on here. I have to
change the port side cabin window this spring. Not looking forward to it but
all your suggestions sure does help. I'm new to sailing, been power boating for
about 18 years but just bought my first sail boat last July. I've sailed on
other people's boats but being the skipper is a whole new thing.
Thanksfor the comments/help.
