Hi Alan, I think my surveyor missed it on the initial report and we discussed it as I recall. I recall seeing it when I first purchased the boat. It's a pretty common with northern C&C's when I spoke to Eric Thomas the marina owner at Barker's Island. He had suggested the drilling/hammering/etc when I did the first repair.
