I bought some Baofeng UHF walkies with headsets, belt clips, 2each… cost $45 for the pair with shipping and headsets. Got them off of Tophatter. http://www.tophatter.com . Small, lightweight, good range, good on batteries, lots of frequencies. I was using my cellphone and earbuds before that – that doesn’t work real well offshore 😊
