I am top posting because the full text of the original post is important in this case.
I can confirm the same behavior. I have 2 Raq4's with the updated Qpopper and I had to manually remove the md5lst as well before the update would install properly. That being said once installed everything is great and the new Qpopper is so much faster than the regular cobalt installed version. ---------------------------- Michael Aronoff - CIIC, Inc. Calabasas, CA Barbara Wrote: The first time I tried to isntall the PKG through the GUI -after it asked me if I wanted to upgrade over 4.0.4 to the new version (and I replied yes) -when the screen came back, version 4.0.4 was still showing as the installed version. Down in the corner of the IE browser there was that little java script warning message that said something about an error in the script and this for the URL: https://<IP>:81/cgi-bin/.cobalt/install/install.cgi?page=installreplace& id=20819&package=%20RaQ34-Solarspeed.net-Qpopper%20 So I checked with: [EMAIL PROTECTED] /etc]# popper -v sh: popper: command not found Then I hit the popper with my mail client and it was still running the 4.0.4 version: Mar 12 22:00:51 www in.qpopper[21961]: (v4.0.4) POP login by user "admin" at <IP> So I went back to the GUI and tried to reinstall it again -after being asked if I wanted to update from 4.0.4 to the new version (and replying yes) it came back with: This package cannot be uninstalled. But this time no java error in the browser.. So I went to /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers/ and my RaQ34-Solarspeed.net-Qpopper-4.0.4.uninst file had been removed, but RaQ34-Solarspeed.net-Qpopper-4.0.4.md5lst was still showing up under /var/lib/cobalt/. I just delete this file (RaQ34-Solarspeed.net-Qpopper-4.0.4.md5lst) and returned to the GUI and tried the install again, and this time it went in without any problem. I hit the popper with my admin account and that time it reflected the new version and all was well.. :-) _______________________________________________ cobalt-security mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.cobalt.com/mailman/listinfo/cobalt-security
