Arapahoe County:
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Brower at Cherry Creek SP on May 15.

Baca County:
--At Two Buttes, Kaempfer reported Chestnut-sided Warbler and Black-and-white 
Warbler on May 15.
 
Bent County:
--On May 15 at Tempel Grove, Wild reported 1 WOOD THRUSH and a Black-and-white 
Warbler; Drummond reported a dark morph Broad-winged Hawk and a Northern 
Waterthrush.
--On May 16 at Tempel Grove, Kaempfer reported Blackpoll Warbler and 
Broad-winged Hawk.
--On May 17 at Tempel Grove, Wild reported 2 Northern Waterthrush.
--2+ Northern Waterthrush were reported by Kaempfer at Bent's Fort Inn in Las 
Animas on May 15.
 
Bent/Kiowa Counties:
--At Adobe Creek Reservoir on May 14, Kaempfer reported a Snowy Plover.
  
Boulder County:
--At Pella Crossing (75th & Hygiene) Mark Miller reported 1 Northern 
Waterthrush on May 15.
--A Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Larson along Boulder Creek near 55th St 
on May 15.
--A Little Blue Heron was reported by Lamoureux at Cottonwood Marsh in the NW 
corner on May 16.
--A m Summer Tanager was reported by Bloom at the Iris Farm (Long's Garden) at 
Broadway and Hawthorne in Boulder on May 16.
--A pair of Blackpoll Warblers was reported by Prather at Jim Hamm in Longmont 
on May 16.
 
Broomfield County:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was found by Smart at the Broomfield NA and a 
Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Zorawowicz the the NA on May 15.  The area is 
1/2 mile south of 135th Ave on Zuni.
 
Crowley County:
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Wild at Lake Henry on May 15.
 
Denver County:
--A Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Powers at Washington Park on May 16.
 
Douglas County:
--At Chatfield on May 17, Walbek reported a singing Yellow-throated Vireo near 
the Plum Creek Picnic Area and a Worm-eating Warbler upstream from Kingfisher 
Bridge.
      
El Paso County:
--On May 16 at Sondermann Park, Burns reported Northern Parula, Northern 
Waterthrush, and a Broad-winged Hawk.

--On May 17 at Sondermann, Floyd reported a f Northern Parula.
--At Fountain Creek Regional Park on May 14, Pals reported Hooded Warbler, 
Northern Waterthrush, and Chihuahuan Raven and Percival reported 5 Northern 
Waterthrush and a m Indigo Bunting.  Kosar refound the Hooded Warbler on May 16.
--2 Northern Waterthrush were banded by Elwonger at Fountain Creek RP, area 7 
on May 15.
--A COMMON BLACK-HAWK was reported by Edwards at Fountain Creek Nature Center 
on May 16.  The hawk was seen on May 17 by Rutherford.
  
El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
At Chico Basin Ranch (Fee):
--On May 15, Percival reported on the El Paso side a m Magnolia Warbler, 2 
Ovenbirds, 3 Northern Waterthrush, 1 Broad-winged Hawk, 1 Black-throated Gray 
Warbler, and on the Pueblo side 5+ Northern Waterthrush.
--On May 16, Boulder Bird Club reported 1 Broad-winged Hawk, 1 m Blackpoll 
Warbler, and 1m Summer Tanager on the El Paso side and 1 m Chestnut-sided 
Warbler on the Pueblo side and Northern Waterthrushes  in both counties.
--On May 17, Gibbons and Brown banded a CONNECTICUT WARBLER.  Percival reported 
on the El Paso side a f Black-throated Green Warbler, pair of Blackpoll 
Warblers, Magnolia Warbler, and a singing Ovenbird.  Roller reported a Great 
Crested Flycatcher near the banding station.
 
Fremont County:
--A juv Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Moss on the Canon City Riverwalk on 
May 17.
 
Huerfano County:
--2 White-winged Doves are visiting feeders in La Veta as of May 15.  If you 
would like to see them call Beverly Jensen 719-989-1398.
 
Jefferson County:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Henwood at Bear Creek Lake Park on May 16.
 
Kiowa County:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Wild at the Locust Grove at
Neenoshe on May 15.
--A Snowy Plover was reported by Kaempfer at Neenoshe on May 16.
--A Northern Parula was reported by Kaempfer at the Eads Courthouse on May 16.
--On May 17, Wild reported 5 Snowy Plovers at Neenoshe.
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Wild on CR A about 1.2 miles west 
of Hwy 287.
 
Kit Carson:
--1 GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH was reported by Wild at the Seibert Sewage Pond on May 
17.
--At Flager SWA on May 17, Wild reported 1 Magnolia Warbler in pines west of 
reservoir, 1 Blackpoll Warbler and 2 Northern Watertrush below the dam, and 1 
Caspian Tern.
  
Larimer County:
--A Prothonotary Warbler was reported by Coley on the Loveland Recreational 
Trail west of marker 2 between the paved path and the yard waste pond on May 15.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by DeFonso at Dixon Reservoir on May 16.
 
Montezuma County:
--At the Ute Mountain Birding Festival on May 15-16, Zerbi reported LUCY'S 
WARBLERs and Summer Tanagers in Yellowjacket Canyon and
a pair of Summer Tanagers along J Rd near the bridge.
 
Otero County:
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Wild at Lake Holbrook on May 15.
--A Blue-winged Warbler was reported by Wild at Rocky Ford SWA on May 15.
--A Black Rail was reported by Drummond at Bent's Old Fort.  It was seen on May 
14 and heard on May 15.
 
Prowers County:
--At Lamar Community College Woods: 
----On May 15, Wild reported 1 ALDER FLYCATCHER and 3 Northern Waterthrush.
----On May 15, Kaempfer reported Northern Cardinal and Ovenbird.
----On May 15, Mark Miller reported a singing m Golden-winged Warlber and a 
White-winged Dove.
----On May 17, Wild reported 1 f CONNECTICUT WARBLER, 1 Great Crested 
Flycatcher, 1 juv Broad-winged Hawk, 4 Northern Cardinals
--At Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Wild reported 2 Blackpoll Warblers and 
singing YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER on May 15.
 
Washington County:
--At Last Chance, Mark Miller reported 2 Northern Waterthrush on May 16.
--At Last Chance on May 17, Wild reported 1 GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH and 3 Northern 
Waterthrush.
 
Weld County:
--AN EASTERN MEADOWLARK was reported by Smart at Crow Valley CG on May 16.
 
Yuma County:
--At Bonny Reservoir, Righter reported 4 Blackpoll Warblers, 1 Black-throated 
Green Warbler and 4+ Northern Cardinals on May 15 and 16.
 
The DFO field trip for Saturday, May 22 will be to Rigli Ranch led by Joe Rigli 
(970-568-7121).  Meet the leader at the ranch by 0830.  From Hudson, go east on 
CO 52 until it turns north.  Don't turn north, but continue east on Morgan 
County Road F to CR 14, turn north for approximately one mile to the first 
house on left by boxcars.  Bring lunch and extra water.
 
The DFO field trip for Sunday , May 23 will be to McCabe Meadows Park (formerly 
Parker Regional Park) led by Steve Kennedy (303-772-6048).  Meet at 0730 for 
1/2 day trip.  From Main Street intersection in Parker, take Hwy 83 south for 
1.2 miles.  Turn right onto Indian Pipe Lane to parking lot on the right.  The 
park is on the west side of the road.  May look into Triple C Ranch's marsh and 
pond.
