Boulder County:
--A Carolina Wren found by Floyd on May 30 has apparently been joined by a 
second one.  Both were seen along the Centennial Trail on June 5.  Look and 
listen for the wrens about 200 feet south of the south end of Old Tale Road.
--A Northern Parula was reported by Trinker in Boulder east of the intersection 
of 16th and Hawthrone where the Farmer's Ditch crosses under Hawthrone on June 
10.
--A male Northern Parula was reported by John T at Doudy Draw NE of the 
restrooms on June 12.
 
Delta County:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Garrison at Confluence Park in Delta on June 
12.
 
Douglas County:
--On May 30 Halverstad reported a Yellow-billed Cuckoo on the Dupont Open Space 
in Louviers.  On June 9 Halverstad reported  that
there are at least 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoos in Louviers.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Miller at the McCabe Meadows Trail on June 
10.
 
Huerfano County:
--A HEPATIC TANAGER and Grace's Warbler were reported by Smart on Ideal Canyon 
Road on June 12.
 
Jefferson County:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was seen along the Platte River at the Audubon Nature 
Center at Chatfield on June 5 as reported by the Kingerys.  
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Cameron on June 4.
 
Larimer County:
--A female LEAST BITTERN was reported by Wild at the west pond in the Running 
Deer Natural Area on June 7.
--AN EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, first reported by Leatherman at Grandview Cemetery on 
May 22 was reported again on June 6 on the golf course east of the cemetery by 
DeFonso.
--Leatherman reports that the female White-winged Crossbill continues to be 
seen in the cemetery at least through June 5.
 
Logan County:
--Maynard reported a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO at Tamarack Ranch SWA on June 7.
 
Mesa County:
--Percival reported that a BROWN PELICAN has apparently been present on 
Highline Reservoir for several days and was seen again on June 6 by Bradley.  
On June 7, Beason reported that the BROWN PELICAN was seen on the north side of 
the reservoir.  On June 9 Wild reported the BROWN PELICAN was in the middle of 
the reservoir.
--A Tennessee Warbler was reported by Beason on the Colorado River on June 8.
--A Scott's Oriole was reported by Bradley on Brewster Ridge on June 7.
 
Montrose County:
--A female LESSER NIGHTHAWK was reported by Dexter at the Nucla Sewer Ponds on 
June 12.
 
Weld County:
--At Crow Valley Campground:
----On June 7, Lefko reported a PRAIRIE WARBLER SW of the picnic area.
----On June 8, Wild reported a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, and 
a PRAIRIE WARBLER.
--A WOOD THRUSH was reported by Wild at Norma's Grove on CR 100 just east of CR 
57 on June 8.  Frieberg reported that the WOOD THRUSH was seen on the north 
side of the road on June 9.  On June 10, Walbek reported that the WOOD THRUSH 
was seen south of CR 100.  On June 12, Mark Miller reported that the WOOD 
THRUSH was still present and seen flying across CR 100 and at the creek on the 
south side.  Mark also reported a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO on the south side on June 
12.  Mark warned that the roads are very muddy around Norma's Grove.
--A TRI-COLORED HERON was reported by France at Lower Latham
on CR 48 on June 11.  There are possibly 2 TRI-COLORED there.
 
The DFO field trip for Saturday, June 19 will be to Peak-to-Peak Highway led by 
Christian Nunes (401-787-0194 or [email protected]).  Meet the leader at 
0600 at the Boulder County Courts parking lot at Canyon Blvd and 6th St in 
Boulder to form carpools before heading up Boulder Canyon.  Bring lunch, water, 
a radio if you have one.  Contact Christian with questions or to let him know 
that your are going.
 
The DFO field trip for Sunday, June 20 will be to Lair o' the Bear Park led by 
Nina Routh (303-987-8687).  Meet the Leader at 0830 at the Lari o' Bear Park 
entrance:  from C-470 take the Morrison Road exit and drive west about 4 miles 
on CO 74, past Idledale, to the parking lot at with entrance on the left.  
Spend the morning hiking in search of foothill specilaties, and wind down with 
a nice lunch at a reaturant in Kittredge.  Please call Nina if you plan to 
participate.
