Boulder County:
--5 Green Herons were reported by Stiles at Ricky Weiser Pond in Walden Ponds 
in Boulder on July 19.  On July 25, Spencer reported an adult Green Heron at 
Cottonwood Marsh.
--The Pacific Loon first reported by Blatchley on July 10, was seen again by 
Mark Miller on July 31, by Gent on August 1, and by Wild on August 2.
--A BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was reported by Wild in the NW corner of McIntosh 
Lake on August 2.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Gent north of McIntosh Lake on August 2.  
--2 Fox Sparrows were reported by Floyd at Brainard Lake right by the road near 
the first fork past the entrance station on August 1.

Chaffee County:
--A Great-tailed Grackle was reported by Moss at Franz Lake north of Salida on 
July 21.
 
Delta County:
--A Purple Martin nest was reported by Garrison on July 27 on Stevens Gulch 
Road north of Paonia.  The site is on a corner downhill from the lowest 
powerline crossing, south of Windy Point.
 
Gunnison County:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Dexter at the Beaver Creek Fishing 
Access area and Parking Lot on July 26.  This is about 10 miles west of 
Gunnison.
 
Larimer County:
--American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Webb on the CSU Pingree Park 
Campus on July 31.   Directions:  Take Hwy 14 to Pingree Park Road.
 
Phillips County:
--A singing INCA DOVE was reported by Wild near the Haxtun high school on July 
31.
 
Summit County:
--2 American Three-toed Woodpeckers (including 1 male) were reported by Bowers 
on the Gore Range Trail to Boulder Lake which is north of Silverthorne on July 
27.
Directions:  Take Hwy 9, 7.3 miles north of Silverthorne.  Turn left on Rock 
Creek Road, go 3 miles to Rock Creek Trail head parking.  Walk trail for .4 
miles, turn right onto Gore Range trail.  The birds were seen in beetle-damaged 
trees to the left of the trail about 1.86 miles from parking area.  Nims 
reported an American Three-toed Woodpecker at Boulder Lake on July 29.
 
 Washington County:
--1 ad LAUGHING GULL in nearly breeding plumage was reported by Wild at Prewitt 
Reservoir on July 31. 
 
No field trips scheduled for Saturday, August 7 or Sunday, August 8.
