Here are a few of my photos of the Western Gull from 9:17-9:51am this morning, at the Swim Beach grass at Chatfield Reservoir, Jefferson County, Colorado.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/brandonsbirdphotos/ I want to Thank and Congratulate Glenn Walbek and Loch Kilpatrick for finding the first state record of Western Gull yesterday. I also need to thank Joey Kellner for the cobirds early morning post today, as soon as I saw that post that the bird was still present, I left. I also need to thank Joe Roller and Loch Kilpatrick for waiting for me to arrive, and letting me know where the bird was and showing it to me. It was a long trip, though well worth it. It sounds like I might have been lucky to have seen it, since it disappeared, not too long afterwards. I hope it shows up again, and many other people can see it. This was my 460th Colorado bird!!
