I've always thought Colorado's birders are great in doing their best to help other birders see things!!
Some people were wondering, why I wasn't at Chatfield Reservoir yesterday. I was working on a Breeding Bird Atlas Block east of Pueblo in the morning, and when I returned back home in the afternoon, I was extremely warn out. I didn't feel like driving all the way to Chatfield alone, yesterday afternoon. I figured that might not be too safe. Thanks to the many people who attempted to reach me yesterday, and also, I forgot to thank Rachel Hopper, for giving me updates by phone today, as I was getting close to Chatfield this morning. Brandon Percival Pueblo West, CO ________________________________ Let me make one more comment about Colorado birders in general. Following the discovery and ID, everyone standing on the sandspit who had seen this bird to his/her satisfaction, spent the rest of his/her time trying to notify everyone in their address book. Dozens and dozens of phone calls and text messages were made to everyone we could think of. I thought that was pretty cool!
