Dave and Audrey Elens (same folks who got Red-shouldered Hawk on Poudre Trail last year) report a Yellow-crowned Night Heron at the Glenmere Park rookery over weekend. Funny thing is, I led Denver Audubon around Weld this Saturday, including Glenmere, and one of my comments was "I'm hoping to see Green and Yellow-crowned (Night) herons here someday" (which we didn't on our trip).
At WCR 114/Hwy 85 we had about 8-10 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (a usual haunt).
