I visited Glenmere Park on Tuesday evening (7:15 pm), 7 June 2011, with Cole
Wild and Katrina Stowasser. We found Tim Smart there with the bird in his
scope. It was standing on a nest. Tim watched an adult Black-crowned
Night-Heron bring it a stick. The YCNH accepted the stick and seemed to tend
the nest with it. It also sat down on the nest as if incubating eggs. See
link for photos of the YCNH standing and sitting on the nest.

Thanks to all who communicated the presence of this bird among the nesting
Black-crowned Night-Herons, Snowy Egrets and Cattle Egrets at Glenmere Park
in Greeley. Approximate location is intersection of 18th St and 18th Ave
just north of the UNC campus.
