I have come across issues where a code syntax error messes up indexing—are you able to do a full, successful compilation? Other than that, I have heard that some issues might require a system restart, i.e. 1) quitting Xcode; 2) deleting derived data (if you use a shared location you might also want to delete or move derived data from other projects); and 3) restarting the computer.
