Hi Frando,

Before answering you, I need to speak with my community.
As we have already a lot of spreadingwork going on with the outcoming of OOo2.0, what I see currently in your initiative is quite duplicating our work.
However, we could enhance both (your initiative and our work) by puting our efforts together.

Ahhh, ok. I think I might be getting the feel of where people are seeing a potential problem.

From what I've seen of Frando, he really is keen to do well by us all, and does take on guidance and advice with enthusiasm.

So, if we let him know that (for example) the French Community already has a forum site, and doesn't need a French SOO site having forums, then of course he wouldn't put them in. That would be counter-productive.

I kind of think of things like "Here's a resource being built, how would we like it done?" and then try and give suggestions and guidance towards that.

Would it make sense for us to make a list of which OOo NL Communities have which facilities already available (i.e. Forums, Affliate system, etc), so they can be not duplicated, and then consider which NL Community groups might *want* some of the things that a SOO server can offer?

I'm trying to see things from the perspective of "Each OOo NL Community has it's own needs. Some have already been met by them, and others might have a use/need for this."

Does that make more sense, or am I still being thick?

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift

Please, note that NLC is not only about internationalisation, and MarCon are not NLC even if they could be part of it.

Kind regards
Sophie
