If you use a Mac and you already have some sound editing
program, the cheapest way to get good quality encoder is to
download Macromedias Shockwave Xtra from the Macromedia site.
It's very good, I think its licenced from Fraunhofer...
Shockwave Xtra works at least with SoundEdit and Peak.
