now you guys should learn to use virtual desktop. i've got ten different
desktops, mostly empty now, but if i do something, then i organize my
"applications" in some manner. like name the virtual desktop from
workspace 10 to say, "irc" or "project foobar" etc. then i always know
where my windows are. this works for windowmaker. then, if i'm using
olvwm, i just check the virtual desktop window itself and i remember where
i put the "application" i need. there's at least one good virtual desktop
software that is free for windows, just have to check the name tomorrow at
work. i don't know if there's any such program for mac. and that windows
virtual desktop can easily be configured to work like olvwm. and i made
mine to look like it too...
