i think the reason the azure extension supports creating its own container is that the concept of a container does not have a 1-1 analogue to s3 or google storage. for example the extension requires that the storage account exist (where a storage account is a direct analogue to a s3 bucket) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
