Maxim Solodovnik commented on OPENMEETINGS-2195:
------------------------------------------------

{quote}Furthermore on this edge screen the user space for the 1st user
(connected on the other machine) at the top of the left-column user
column shows medium size image-icons which have the tiny green circle
with the white + in it for everything except the video camera which
is grey, the mic symbol which is orange and is slashed, and the gear
symbol which is grey. {quote}

this is by design
in case room is NOT *moderated* first user who enter the room is moderator
And can grant/revoke permissions for various actions

Since the room type is *conference* rights for cam/mic are granted
automatically ....

> mic not enabled in audio-only room in chrome, other errors

>  On Chrome: the mic is not enabled by default, when I click on it, it turns
> orangish color and has backslash through it, but it still doesn't work - even
> though I can see the green audio level rising when I speak. This is with the
> other user's mic (I am connected as two different users using the two
> different browsers) disabled.
> When I enable the other users mike (the user on edge) it still doesn't work
> for the user on Chrome. Additionally, each time I click on the mic as the
> chrome user, another little "speaker" icon with its own volume level appears
> in the user column at the right of the user next to the green dot.
