Hi @dik111, thank you for starting this SAP HANA CHAR improvement and for leaving the branch open to maintainer updates. The core direction of your contribution is valuable, so I picked up the remaining CHAR(n) preservation gap and added focused coverage for both CHAR and CHAR(15). Your original commits and authorship remain intact; the new fix is now on this same PR at 22fb8a5c7. The connector Spotless apply/check passed locally. GitHub CI has started on the updated head and will provide the functional verification.
