At some point I had issues with monotonicNowNanos() and NUMA.
I think [[email protected]] mentioned this issue in some other JIRA.
I would be careful with that.
Other than that, I think that changing the units might be an issue.
By default, we should leave the interfaces as they were before and make this
configurable.
In any case, I think we need to increase the code coverage substantially here.
We can add sleeps and verify that the numbers are larger than the sleep itself
for each component.
Similar for coverage for the time units.
