I don't think you have any idea how much goes into creating a new list. I just did a quick count. There are 16+ commands to execute on 3 ASF servers, plus a file in CVS that needs to be edited, committed, and updated on minotaur. Per list. And a dev or user list is different from a commit record list which differs from a private list. Unfortunately, I am not sure whom else besides Berin Lautenbach and I has a complete list of all the steps. It used to be that Brian did much of the ezmlm work, and the eyebrowse work was done later by Daniel. The question of where or if to draw a line on lists is another matter, but the effort involved in doing them is higher than you expect, and takes time out from other things.
