Now I understand better for the requirements. It will be served as a
exchange market for developers and users. So the procedure here maybe: the
users upload the files and documents for the plugin/extension, after review
and modification by developers, it can be put into the market place, and all
users are able to install this plugin from market place right?

Yes! Wordpress plugin comes into my mind when I first saw the description
for marketplace.

I believe this can be achieved by using Facebook API. It allows us to find
friends which is also using Matterhorn. The students/users can link their
Matterhorn accounts to Facebook, and invoke a function to post to their news
feed on Facebook when they like some part of the video.
