But the PC can't write Mac 800K disks, unfortunately.  No way, no how,
without extra hardware that's pretty darn hard to find and probably won't
work with any peecee made since about 1996.

There's a link in the FAQ for the driver, but as you noticed, writing an
800K disk will be a problem.

The simplest solution at this point would be to get another Mac that has
both Ethernet and LocalTalk interfaces and set it up as a LocalTalk Bridge
between the SE and the Cube.  Pretty easy to do; just come to the list if
you need any help on that :)
