I had never had a Mac in my hands, untill I bought the SE/30 with 7.1
on it, and No way to get it on the internet. So I started surfing with
my PC looking for some way to get files from the internet to the SE/30.
Thats when I found LEM, got on the compact/vintage lists and found out
about TransMac. (yes gamba/pickle the FAQ) So I downloaded it, what the
heck, and it went this way:

 1. Installed TransMac on the PC (AST Adventure! Plus 5166 w/Cyrix 6x86
133MHz CPU and Win98se)
 2. Formated a 1.44 floppy with the SE/30.
 3. Inserted into PC floppy drive, and started the TransMac program.
 4. Pointed TransMac to the rite PC Folder, to get the file I needed.
 5. Clicked on the Mac Drive window to select the floppy drive.
 6. Double click on a volume that comes up in the Mac Files box.
 7. Then choose the file that I want to transfer. (.bin, .hqx, .sea,) by
clicking on it.
 8. Click on the icon that looks like a PC&Mac.
 9. A window pops up to let you choose the type of file you want to
tranfer, bin , hex, what ever.
10. Click 'OK'

Once you get Suffit on the floppy it's all down hill from there

Now if 'this' newbe can figure out how to do this on his own, with
alot of reading the FAQ, and the lists, anybody can. BTW it worked on
the First try, getting StuffItExpndr 5.5, on the SE/30.

I think I just solved the catch 22 problem. (pickle/gamba, anyone
else?)
