That's an innovative solution, but a bit restricted, It would be better to be able to handle any binhexed or Macbinary utility instead of just a custom utility disk that is not widely available. Scott and Mark have posted the better way, for binhex by using HFV Explorer.. Neither of them has shown that it works for Macbinary, which is important because of the trend away from .hqx towards .bin. And to pickle, as regards your "sighs", AFAIK the FAQ doesn't show how to deal with the catch 22 problem of getting decoding/unstuffing software onto a Mac by downloading .hqx or .bin decoding/unstuffing software with PC.
