The Mac Driver Museum indicates on this page that the Windows package WinImage will handle a Mac disk image and write a floppy disk: http://www.macdrivermuseum.com/pc2mac.html The solution to install an OS on a 1.4Mb floppy drive Mac would theoretically become: 1. Download Stuffit for Windows to handle binhex or MacBinary files on the PC. 2. Download WinImage to handle a Mac disk image on the PC. 3. Download a suitable 1.4Mb boot disk (eg Network Access Disk for System 7 or a System 6 installer) on PC 4. Create boot disk on PC and test on Mac 5. Download a generic utilities 1.4Mb boot disk (with Stuffit Expander, PC Exchange and a few other bits) on PC 6. Create utilities disk on PC and test on Mac 7. Download desired files to PC format floppy and migrate from the Darkside... The problem at the moment is the lack of point 5, a generic utilities disk.
