After reviewing the FAQ, I have determined that connecting Oliver (my new Bana^H^H^H^H Mac Classic) directly to my ethernet LAN is going to be an expensive proposition. I am considering trying serial communication from Oliver through a spare serial port on my main GNU/Linux box and then out to the net. Has anyone here tried that kind of lash-up? Is there a commercially available MacSerial-to-DB9/DB25 (null-modem?) cable? What sort of additional software (other than Mac OS 7.1) would I likely need?
