My external 2GB HD was working as a boot drive (System 7.5), until I reformatted it. Now it works, but will no longer act as a boot drive. I tried Apple/Option/Shift/Delete.
I have used the following HD tools to successfully format/parition/initialize the drive, and received no errors -- Apple HD SC Setup v3.1 -- Alliance Power Tools -- Hard Disk ToolKit -- Lido 7.56 -- PLI Formatter 4.0 Testing the drive found no problems. HD is running fine. Installed 7.5.3. Transferring files back and forth works fine. Applications run, documents open, with no problems.
