The same story is true here. Specifically, I was working on a
CTC-175 chassis (I'm hazy on whether CTC is correct, but it was one
of the 175's with the problematical tuner ground solder and the
serial EEPROM). The thing had been sitting for days and it still
gave a big spark when I discharged it.
