Yes, ink prices are crazy. In the long run, you're better off with a laser printer for black printing. It sits on top of the IWII and holds 50 sheets of plain paper. It is very easy to install. I have one. It's nice. It is also probably hard to find. If you get one try to make sure that it comes with the wire paper supports. At the paper supply and paper out end, there are hoops of coated wire somewhat thicker than a coat hanger which support the upper end of the paper.
